Coalition established by government and private sector organizations around the globe to exchange information and coordinate response activities about security-related incidents of computers.
FIRST aims to foster cooperation and coordination in incident prevention, to prompt rapid reaction to incidents, and to promote information sharing among members and the community at large. Currently (Feb 2001) FIRST has nearly 70 members.
