Meaning of SEWARD PENINSULA in English

peninsula in western Alaska, U.S., between Kotzebue Sound (north) and Norton Sound (south). It is about 180 mi (290 km) long by 130 mi wide; its average elevation is 2,000 ft (600 m). A few peaks rise above 3,000 ft; the highest is 4,720 ft in the Kigluaik Mountains in the southwest part of the peninsula. Its tip, Cape Prince of Wales on the Bering Strait, is the most westerly point of the North American continent. The city of Nome is on its south coast.
