a cooker that is made of solid iron. It has a traditional design, but is now very fashionable in Britain. Agas use coal, oil, gas or electricity and are usually left on once they have been lit. They can also be used to provide hot water and central heating. The phrase Aga saga is a humorous name for a novel about the lives of middle-class British people.
