Meaning of ALEXANDRA PALACE in English

a large building in north London, England, surrounded by a park. It was first built for an international exhibition in central London in 1862, and later moved. It is best known for having been the BBC’s main television centre when the first public broadcasts were made in the 1930s. Concerts and exhibitions are now held there.
