a US comic actor who was married to and regularly acted with George Burns . She played a humorous wife who mostly talked nonsense in their popular programmes on radio and television.
II . Woody Allen
(1935–)
a US comic actor, director and writer of films. His films often make fun of the worries of modern life in big US cities. He has won three Oscars , for writing and directing Annie Hall (1977), and for writing Hannah and Her Sisters (1986). His later films include Husbands and Wives (1992), Sweet and Lowdown (1999) and Anything Else (2003). In 1997 he married the adopted daughter of his former partner, the actor Mia Farrow .
