( in some Christian Churches ) a bishop of the highest rank, responsible for a large church district. In the Church of England there are two archbishops, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York , who both have a place in the House of Lords . The Archbishop of Westminster is the Roman Catholic bishop of the highest rank in Britain. The title ‘Your Grace’ is used when talking to an archbishop and ‘His Grace’ when referring to one.
