I . Bradford

an industrial city in Yorkshire , England. Since the Middle Ages it has been an important centre for the wool trade and for textile production. It now has a large Asian community and is the home of the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television.

II . Barbara Taylor Bradford

(1933– )

one of the world’s most popular writers of fiction. By 2004 her books had sold 63 million copies. The stories are usually about modern, successful women who fall in love. They include A Woman of Substance (1979), and Power of a Woman (1997). Bradford was born in England, where she was a journalist, and now lives in the US.
