a US director of cheap horror and crime films. He is best known for directing several films based on stories by Edgar Allan Poe . These include The Pit and the Pendulum (1961) and The Raven (1963). Corman’s other films include Bloody Mama (1969), Frankenstein Unbound (1990) and Little Shop of Horrors (1960) which he made in two days and one night.
