Meaning of COTSWOLDS in English

a range of hills in south-west England. It was once a major centre for sheep farming and the wool trade. Now it is a popular tourist area, famous for its beautiful scenery and pretty towns. Many houses in the area are built with the local Cotswold stone , which has an attractive pale greyish-yellow colour:
