Meaning of DENNY’S in English

any of a chain of fast food restaurants in the US. In 1994 the company was accused in a class action (= a type of law case that is started by a group of people who have the same problem) of refusing to serve African Americans and was made to pay $54 million as a result. Denny’s now serves everyone and even produced humorous advertisements in 1997 which said that its food is so good that even African Americans eat there.
