(1932– )
a US film director who was born in Czechoslovakia and moved to America in 1968. He won Oscars for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and Amadeus (1983). His other films include The Fireman’s Ball (1967), Ragtime (1980) and Man on the Moon (1999) about the comedian Andy Kaufman.
