Meaning of GI BILL OF RIGHTS in English

( also the GI Bill )

a US law passed in 1944 to give financial help to members of the armed forces when they returned from World War II . This included money given to help pay for homes and education. By 1947, about 4 million people had benefited from the law. It now helps anyone leaving the US armed forces.
