Meaning of HAT-TRICK in English

( in sport ) a series of three successes, e.g. scoring three goals in the same game or winning an event three times in a row. The expression was first used in cricket. A bowler who took three wickets in three balls was traditionally given a new hat by his club:

He completed his hat-trick with a wonderful third goal.
