a member of a group of people who ride powerful motorcycles, wear leather clothes and have a reputation for wild and violent behaviour. Groups of Hell’s Angels are called chapters , and they have their own rules which are different from those of the rest of society. The first groups were formed in California in the 1950s but they now exist in several countries.
