(1937– )
an English artist famous for his paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and stage designs. He has lived mostly in the US since the 1960s, and is perhaps best known for his series of paintings of swimming pools done in California , e.g. A Bigger Splash (1967). He was made a Companion of Honour in 1997.
