a district of south-west London, England, part of the borough of Kensington and Chelsea . It contains many of London’s large museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum , the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum . Kensington has particular associations with the royal family, and was made a ‘royal borough’ by Queen Victoria , who was born in Kensington Palace .
