Meaning of MELBOURNE in English

( born William Lamb 1779–1848)

a British Whig (1) politician who was twice Prime Minister (1834 and 1835–41). He is remembered especially for the good relationship he had with Queen Victoria , who was young when he was in power and welcomed the advice he gave her, and for a very public scandal in 1812 when his wife, Lady Caroline Lamb , had an affair with the poet Lord Byron .
