a British organization that works for the rights of homosexual men and women (= people sexually attracted to others of their own sex) and to encourage public discussion of the issue. OutRage! started in 1990 and quickly became well known for its use of direct action which it often combines with humour, as in the Queer St Valentine’s Day Carnival.
