the second largest city in the US state of Oklahoma . It is a port on the Arkansas River which connects it to the Gulf of Mexico . It was settled and named Tulsy in the 1830s by Native Americans forced to leave Alabama . Oil was discovered there in 1901, and the city remains a centre for the oil industry.
