( Pelham Grenville Wodehouse 1881–1975)
an English writer of humorous novels and short stories. He is best known for his books about Jeeves and Bertie Wooster , but he wrote many other stories of life among the English aristocracy . He also wrote the words for several successful American musical comedies. He became a US citizen in 1955, and was made a knight in 1975.
