Meaning of ZUNI in English

( also Zuñi ) n ( pl Zunis or Zuni )

a member of a Native-American Pueblo people in western New Mexico . Nearly 6 000 live in the town of Zuni Pueblo, which was established about 1695. The Zunis are now mostly farmers. They are known for making jewellery and for their religious dance ceremonies and colourful costumes.
