n. 1 the distance between successive crests of a wave, esp. points in a sound wave or electromagnetic wave. 2 this as a distinctive feature of radio waves from a transmitter. 3 colloq. a particular mode or range of thinking and communicating (we don't seem to be on the same wavelength).
