HAR-EM-AKHET

[Egyptian] "Horus upon the Horizon". Another form of Horus in which he figures as a sun god (identified with Re-Her-Akhety). Later is was believed that the sphinx of Gizeh represented "Horus of the Morning Sun" looking toward the eastern horizon. Also Her-Akhety, "Horus of the Two Horizons". Harmachis is the Greek rendering of the name.
