Meaning of HINA-IKA in English

[Polynesian] "Lady of the Fish". The Hawaiian goddess of fish. She makes barkcloth which she also taught to humans. She is the mother of the island Molokai. Hina is also connected to the moon; Hina-Kega is the bright moon, and Hina-Uri is the dark, invisible moon. In Polynesia she is known as Ina.
