JOEL

[Judaic] The son of Pethuel and second of the minor prophet. He comes probably from Judah and is a contemporary of Uzziah, 810-758 BCE. His book, the 29th of the Old Testament, depicts calamities, rises into exhortation, and foreshadows the Messiah. It is also the name of the son of Samuel.
