Meaning of PRIME FARMLAND in English

Land that has the best combination of physical and chemical characteristics for producing agricultural crops as determined by the Secretary of Agriculture pursuant to the Farmland Protection Policy Act of 1982. Prime farmland includes land that is being used currently to produce livestock and timber, but it excludes land committed to urban development or water storage.
