The exponential constant (Þ) in an Exponential Decay model for the physical removal of particulate from the air by rainfall. Of the form: Xt = X0e-Þt; where: Xt is the particulate concentration at time t; X0 is the particulate concentration at time 0; t is the number of time units (periods) since the rainfall began; e is the base of the natural logarithm; and Þ is the scavenging coefficient for the specific particulate.
