Meaning of COLLATERAL POOLING SYSTEM in English

A central bank system for managing collateral, in which counterparties open a pool account to deposit assets in order to collateralise their transactions with the central bank. A pooling system differs from an earmarking system in that the underlying assets are not earmarked for individual transactions.
