BINNING

In the semivariogram , with large datasets(more measured samples) the number of pairs of locations(points) will increase rapidly and quickly become unmanageable. Therefore, the pairs of points are grouped, which is referred to as binning . A bin ( lag size ) is a specified range of distances.
