SHORTCUT

A term most commonly used in Windows 95 . It is an Icon that points to a file on the hard disk , a network or the Internet . When the icon is double-clicked the file is executed - if the file is an application program then the program runs, if it is a Microsoft word document then word runs & the document is opened.
