The story is about two women who have both ↑ commit ted murder and who both want to be famous in Chicago in the 1920s. A silent film was made of the story in 1927. In 2002, Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Richard Gere appeared in another film of the story which was directed by Rob Marshall.
