John o' Groats /ˌdʒɒn ə ˈɡrəʊts $ ˌdʒɑːn ə ˈɡroʊts/ BrE AmE

a place in northeast Scotland that is thought of as the most northern part of the UK, although in fact it is not. It is used especially in the phrase ‘from John o' Groats to Land’s End’, Land's End being thought of as the furthest point in the southwest of the UK.
