in the Old Testament of the Bible, a man who led the Jews into the ‘Promised Land’ of ↑ Canaan . When Joshua and his army attacked the city of ↑ Jericho they blew their ↑ trumpet s so loudly that the walls of the city fell down and they were able to take control of it. The Book of Joshua describes how the Jews took control of Canaan.
