the main character in children’s stories by the British writer Michael Bond. Paddington is a ↑ teddy bear from Peru who gets lost at ↑ Paddington Station in London, and goes to live with an English family. Around his neck he wears a ↑ label with the words ‘Please take care of this bear’. He eats ↑ marmalade sandwiches.
