Rogers, Richard BrE AmE
(1933– ) a British ↑ architect (=someone who designs buildings) , born in Italy. His buildings are very modern, and are famous for having pipes etc on the outside. He is especially known for his work on the Pompidou Centre in Paris and for buildings in London, especially the Lloyd’s Building. He was chosen as the architect of Tower 3 of the new World Trade Center in New York City. His official title is Baron Rogers of Riverside. He is a Labour Peer in the House of Lords.
