(1869–1959) a US ↑ architect , generally regarded as the most important US architect of the 20th century. He is known for his use of modern materials and methods, in buildings such as the ↑ Guggenheim Museum in New York.

II. Wright, Peter BrE AmE

(1917–1995) a British ↑ spy who became famous in 1987 for writing a book called Spycatcher about his experiences working for the British secret service. The government tried unsuccessfully to prevent the book from being sold in the UK.

III. Wright, Richard BrE AmE

(1908–1960) a black US writer of ↑ novel s and a ↑ critic of American society and its treatment of black people. He is best known for Black Boy and Native Son .
