PTERABYTE

A unit of data storage specifically optimized for describing quantities of data stored on media that can no longer be read, such as magnetic drums or mercury delay lines. It is equal to one byte. Example: The only extant copy of the original PDP-8 assembler takes up 3,500 pterabytes of paper tape.
