general moodiness; dyspepsia of the spirit; non-specific disgust or aggravated boredom. Originally heard in the film The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer, uttered by Shirley Temple--apparently hepslang in upper middle class high schools in the late 1940s. Example: Woke up feeling sklunklish, just stayed in bed all morning.
