SPIGOTTING

To drink (or eat or use) a substance without decanting into an acceptable vessel. Example: He spigotted the milk (i.e., drank the milk right from the carton). 2. They were spigotting the ketchup and mayonnaise. (I.e., the bottles were put on the table, not put into proper dishes for serving. A prominent characteristic of bachelors if they have anything in the fridge at all.)
