STOD

A nameless and helpless character in video games, action movies, and similar works. One who exists only to be effortlessly killed, beaten, or otherwise dispatched by more important main characters with names. Example: Before reaching the boss battle that ends level six, the player must fight through approximately two-hundred stods.
