ADAPTIVE RADIO

A radio that (a) monitors its own performance, (b) monitors the path quality through sounding or polling , (c) varies operating characteristics, such as frequency , power , or data rate, and (d) uses closed- loop action to optimize its performance by automatically selecting frequencies or channels.
