1. or lebbek tree : an Old World tropical leguminous tree ( Albizzia lebbeck ) that has large leaves with 4 to 8 pinnae and 10 to 18 oblong or obovate nearly sessile leaflets and greenish yellow flowers in globose axillary heads followed by long lustrous seed pods which clatter in the wind, that is widely planted in warm regions as a shade and ornamental tree, and that yields a valuable mottled coarse-grained wood somewhat resembling mahogany — called also koko, siris, woman's tongue tree
