Recommendation :
This particular background task is directly responsible for computer freezes, whether it is freezes of specific applications, or freezes of the entire PC. Turning the "System Performance" setting from Optimal/Top Performance to Normal in the BIOS sometimes solves the problem (if that setting exists). In most cases, however, the only real solution is to disable this task with Starter and to start the Nikon View software manually from "Start \ Programs" whenever you need to, or use Windows Explorer.
