System Tray icon installed by the drivers of Lexmark inkjet printers (mostly the Lexmark Z11). This life-like icon brings up the Lexmark Control Program which enables you to configure your printer. It also shows you the status of print jobs, enables you to clean the nozzles, to align the cartridges, to configure the default printing mode (letter quality, draft,...), etc...
Recommendation :
Down to user preference most occasional/beginner-level users will probably want to keep it visible. If you want to disable it, however, simply right-click on the icon in the System Tray and choose "Disable Printer Icon". Note : PRINTRAY does sometimes interfere with parallel port devices, such as parallel port tape or CD-ROM drives, and some scanners. When that is the case, simply disable PRINTRAY as explained above.
