CIS

(compressed image sequence) (n.) The XILTM library's compressors store (generally related) compressed video frames in structures called CIS buffers. The images might represent frames in a movie, pages in a document, and so on. The data in the image sequence might have undergone compression. If the data is compressed, it might be in cell or JPEG formats. See also
