Meaning of BADIN in English

town, southern Sindh province, southeastern Pakistan. The town, founded in 1750, lies in swampy deltaic land east of the Indus River. Rice is the major crop in the region. Badin has a sugar mill and rice mills and is the terminus of the Hyderabad-Badin railway. Exploitation of oil and natural gas resources was begun in the mid-1990s. Pop. (1981) 23,567.
