CYCLOSTOME

any member of the order Cyclostomata (class Agnatha), which contains the lamprey and the hagfish (qq.v.). These fish are characterized by a long slender body without scales and fins, a sucking mouth with horny teeth, a cartilaginous skull, and a notochord.
