Meaning of ERYTHERMALGIA in English

also called Erythromelalgia, or Erythralgia, rare disease in which the blood vessels of the hands and feet go through spasms of expansion (vasodilatation) and constriction associated with burning pain, increased skin temperature, and redness. The disease may be either primary or secondary. It may be brought on by external heat and exercise. Attacks may be aborted by rest, elevation of the legs and arms, and cold applications. Aspirin can be used to relieve pain.
