also called Ferozepur, city, southeastern Haryana state, northwestern India. The city is said to have been founded by Firuz Shah III as a military outpost and was constituted a municipality in 1867. Connected by road with Alwar, in Rajasthan state, and with Gurgaon city, it is an agricultural market centre. Industries include a distillery and iron and metalware factories. Pop.
