formerly Nova Lamego, town, eastern Guinea-Bissau, western Africa. Gab is situated along the Colufe River, a tributary of the Gba River, and is an agricultural marketing centre. Peanuts (groundnuts), grown mainly by the Muslim Fulani peoples, are the principal crop of the region. The town is connected by road to Bissau, the national capital, and to other coastal towns. Pop.
